Day 1 – Arrive in Luxor
- Arrive at Luxor International Airport
- Transfer to hotel and check-in
- Welcome dinner
- Overnight in Luxor
Day 2 – Karnak & Luxor Temples
- Visit Karnak Temple
- Felucca ride on the Nile River
- Evening visit to Luxor Temple — beautifully illuminated after sunset
- Overnight in Luxor
Day 3 – West Bank of Luxor & Flight to Cairo
- Optional sunrise hot air balloon ride
- Cross to the West Bank
- Explore Valley of the Kings
- Visit King Tut’s tomb
- Continue to Mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut
- Visit Medinet Habu
- Visit a local alabaster workshop
- Evening transfer to Luxor Airport
- Domestic flight to Cairo (flight included)
- Transfer to hotel
Day 4 – Giza Pyramids, Memphis & Saqqara
- Visit the Great Pyramid, Pyramid of Chephren, and the Sphinx
- Optional camel ride through the desert
- Visit the Great Sphinx
- Visit Papyrus Institute — learn how the ancient Egyptians created the world’s first form of paper
Continue to Memphis (see Colossal Statue of Ramses II, etc.) - Visit Saqqara and the Step Pyramid of Djoser
- Free time
- Overnight in Cairo
Day 5 – Grand Egyptian Museum & Khan El Khalili
- Spend most of the day at the Grand Egyptian Museum, home to over 100,000 artifacts including the complete Tutankhamun collection
- Visit Khan El Khalili Bazaar for shopping and souvenirs
- Overnight in Cairo
Day 6 – Historic Cairo
- Visit the Citadel of Saladin and Mosque of Muhammad Ali
- Explore Old Cairo, including the Hanging Church and Ben Ezra Synagogue
- Walk and shop along El Moezz Street
- Farewell dinner
- Overnight in Cairo
Day 7 – Departure
- Breakfast
- Transfer to Cairo International Airport for your flight home
